Leadership team
Steve is the driving force behind DAN Shipping & Chartering’s development and his dedication to the shipping industry is evident in the way he leads the company. Steve’s knowledge spans four decades having started his career in 1979 as a Ship’s Agent covering various ports throughout the UK. This hands-on experience means Steve understands the needs of our customers and the commitment required to ensure smooth port operations. Steve is passionate about customer service and leads a dedicated team who place the customer at the heart of everything they do.
Kevin embarked on his extensive career in the shipping industry more than 30 years ago; working as a stevedore at Barrow Clay Pits Wharf on the South Bank of the Humber. This built a solid foundation for his career and first-hand knowledge and experience of the wider industry before moving into a ships agency position.
Kevin joined the business in 2004 as Operations Director and oversees the day to day management of all agency offices. Kevin has a practical and pragmatic approach and prides himself on taking personal accountability and face to face engagement to connect with our customers and key stakeholders to fully understand and meet their needs.
Paul is Agency Manager of the Humber, North East and Scotland and has 15 years’ experience in providing port agency services having joined DAN Shipping & Chartering in 2007. Paul has extensive knowledge of the ports in the North of the UK and vast expertise on their many regulations. Paul has a hands-on approach with “can do” attitude and leads his team to go above and beyond the call of duty to get the best results for our customers.
Rob joined the Dan Shipping team in November 2019 and has over 25 years port agency experience mainly working but not exclusively in Bristol and South Wales ports.
He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and a member, and past-president of The Bristol Maritime Trade Association.
He also represents the BMTA on the Bristol Port Welfare Committee of the Merchant Navy Welfare Board.
Rob is a believer in high quality and hands-on agency operations. He can be relied upon to use his knowledge and vast contacts to ensure the smoothest possible port call for all parties.
