We’re delighted to share the news that the John Good Group has been named as a finalist in not just one but TWO awards in the Yorkshire Business Masters Awards 2019.

Created by TheBusinessDesk.com, and in their ninth year, the Yorkshire Business Masters Awards recognise the achievements of firms of all sizes across the region.

The John Good Group has been named finalists for both the Family Business Award and the Large Company Award – a real reflection of the hard work and expertise of our teams who operate across the Yorkshire region and beyond.

Kayley Worley, Yorkshire Editor for the Business Desk, said: “We have once again been overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of entries for this year’s awards. The judges had some very tough decisions to make over the shortlist, as the competition was extremely strong.

“This year’s shortlist features a wide variety of fantastic businesses, of different sizes, who are not only focused on ensuring success for their business, but also supporting their employees and the wider regional economy. Such achievements can only happen by committing time, energy and having entrepreneurial spirit – especially in the current economic climate.

“I’d like to thank all of our judges for their involvement. Congratulations to all of those shortlisted, we are very much looking forward to celebrating the region’s business achievements in March.”

Alan Platt, Group CEO, commented, “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted in the prestigious Yorkshire Business Masters Awards. Founded by the Good family in 1833, our Group is continuing to succeed by utilising the skills of different generations and having a clear, long-term vision.

Being recognised in both the large business and family business categories demonstrates how our family values remain at the heart of our culture, despite our continuous growth, and is a testament to our dedicated teams in the Yorkshire region and throughout the rest of the UK.”

The award winners will be announced and presented with a trophy at the Business Masters Awards Dinner on Thursday, March 28, at the Queens Hotel in Leeds, in front of an audience of the region’s key businesses, influencers and decision makers. This will be hosted by the BBC’s Danni Hewson.
